I received my bachelor's degree in education with a major in French and my master's degree in curriculum and instruction. During my 29 years in the classroom I developed my knowledge of best practices in world language education by taking courses, attending conferences, reading professional publications and participating in a variety of online forums. In 2016 I was selected as the Ohio Foreign Language Association Teacher of the Year.
I have provided professional development to world language teachers by presenting workshops at the local, state and regional levels as well as through my blog, Madame's Musings. I am now using my experience with standards-based unit design and proficiency-based instruction and assessment to provide on-site workshops to teachers interested in updating their practice to reflect current standards. In addition, I am available to assist school districts in the process of updating their world language curriculum to reflect best practices in world language instruction and assessment.
I am available to provide on-site workshops on the following topics:
Additional workshops can be tailored to the participants' needs.
